Multi-disciplinary Consultancy working throughout the UK are looking for a Building Surveyor with extensive experience in commercial building surveying to join their London office. You will be joining a company who offer a flexible approach in order to provide solutions which meet their client's expectations.

The successful candidate will ideally have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role in the private sector and be within an hour's commute of London as most of the work out of the London office is based in London or the South East, the majority of work will be London based.

The skills required include:

  • Party wall issues
  • Dilapidations
  • Building surveys
  • Contract administration
  • Preparation of specifications
  • Working with our external architects with the preparation of specifications and drawings
  • Construction design and detailing
  • Building Regulation and planning applications
  • Project management
  • Feasibility reports
  • Conversion work
  • Commercial refurbishment projects

Communication

  • Excellent presentation skills both verbal and written
  • To build and maintain effective working relationships with existing and new clients
  • To create and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external team members working on designated projects including contractors, structural and services engineers, builders, local authorities, conservation officers, approved inspectors etc.
  • To keep directors/associates fully informed

Administration and development

  • To comply with all office administration and technical procedures
  • Attending meetings with colleagues and line manager.
  • To highlight opportunities to develop and improve the practice
  • To strive to improve via development and knowledge as an individual
  • To strive to undertake all the duties to the best of your abilities
  • To maintain the requirements for CPD as set out by the RICS and abide by all other RICS rules and regulations

You must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and ideally be confident in business development.

Salary offered will be in the region of £45k to £60k basic.

Package is dependent on qualifications and experience with benefits as follows:

  • Hybrid working option, expectation of minimum or 2 days in the office per week
