We have a vacancy for a Building Surveyor who will be responsible for the technical and proactive management of an insurance loss.
The ideal candidate will have excellent customer care skills and be quality focused providing top quality service to internal and external customers.
You will be home based but will need to be a team player with top communication skills. You will be reactive and proactive with extensive professionals experience in all aspects of Building Surveying.
You will ideally be MRICS qualified via the Building Surveying route, but those with MCIOB, ICE, CEng will be considered with the relevant experience.
You will have the ability to produce accurate, quality reports and presentations demonstrating technical competence at all times with the drive to achieve targets whilst keeping client focus and always keeping key stakeholders informed and confident of your services at all stages.
You must hold a valid UK driving license.
Responsibilities will include.
- A broad range of building surveying experience is required, any rural/agricultural experience would be a bonus
- Preparing specification of works for repairs & reinstatement
- Project Management
- Knowledge of the latest CDM and H&S legislation
- Dilapidations, Schedules of Condition, Contract Administration, PWA, Commercial practice, RCA and insurance valuations
- Defect diagnosis reporting and Cost Analysis
- Experience in Business Development and excellent customer service include complaints handling.
The successful candidate will be someone who can take decisive action based upon an analysis of different situations. You will have a positive attitude and a proactive approach to solving problems able to coordinate a variety of actions at once.
Salary for this role ranges from £45k to £55k and offers a generous benefits package which will be provided with a job description upon successful applications.
