Opportunity in London for a professional Chartered Building Surveyor with a can-do attitude with a self-motivated and enthusiastic approach to their work.

You will need excellent organisational skills and be able to multitask working to tight deadlines whilst maintaining the highest standards with accuracy.

You will be joining a forward-thinking company who are growing and have a busy client base. You will need to be able to carry out site visits and happy to travel with a full driving license. The office is in South East London so you should be within a commutable distance for when the office returns to normality.

Professional criteria are as follows:

  • MRICS qualification
  • Working knowledge of structural defects affecting building and appropriate remedial measures
  • JCT contracts and Contract Administration
  • Ability and experience to recognise and diagnose causes of defects and  consequential damage to buildings and structures            
  • An understanding and knowledge of current repair techniques and products
  • Ability to carry out and advise on a wide range of Building Surveying services including, but not limited to, Planned Preventative Maintenance reports, Schedule of Conditions, preparation of Specifications, and report writing
  • Knowledge of CDM and Party wall legislation
  • Ability to be decisive in resolving matters, an appreciation of the importance of delivering outstanding customer service, coupled with excellent communication  skills      
  • A sound working knowledge of IT and most Microsoft packages, including scheduling.                        
  • The ability to work in an office, on site as well as manage and plan your own workload whilst delivering professional services
  • Experience of working to tight timescales and meeting client specific SLA's           
  • Business Development and Client Care awareness.

Initial interview will be online with the second interview being carried out in the office in SE London.
