You have the opportunity to join a team who for over 25 years have been responsible for the design and management of a wide range of construction projects for a number of large commercial clients. 

Due to the planned retirement of the existing Director, there is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and professional Chartered Building Surveyor with the capability to take on the management of an existing department and the ambition to develop both the existing client base and the take advantage of the opportunities that are available from working within a multi-disciplinary organisation.

Key skills & experience
• Minimum qualification - Chartered Building Surveyor MRICS
• At least 10 years post-qualification experience in Building Surveying and project management
• Good working knowledge of all aspects of building surveying and building design
• Proven staff management skills 
• Proven client management including negotiating and influencing skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to manage staff, lead and motivate individuals and teams to achieve targets 
• Driving licence

Management Responsibilities
• Financial and technical management of the Building Surveying team
• Supervision of Building Surveying staff including workload, management of training, welfare etc.
• Attend in-house and external meetings with clients, local authorities and other professionals 
• Represent the business, in a professional and courteous way.

Management Responsibilities
• Undertaking the role of Principal Designer on a range of projects (mainly commercial)
• Management and co-ordination of the architectural, structural and civil engineering designs on a wide range of new-build and refurbishment projects
• Financial, technical and project management input throughout the design and construction stages of projects.
