Chartered Structural Engineer – Milton Keynes
We’re working with an established multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy who are currently looking to recruit a Chartered Structural Engineer to join their Milton Keynes office. You will be part of the Structural Engineering team involved on a wide variety of projects across multiple sectors including domestic, industrial, commercial and conservation.
They are looking for someone MIStructE qualified with at least 4 years’ post-qualification experience. You should be experienced with multi-disciplinary consultancy detailed design work on complex engineering projects in residential, commercial and industrial sectors both for new build and modification. Design skills in a wide range of materials which must include a good design knowledge of concrete, masonry and steel. Experience and the ability to train and mentor junior engineering staff is also essential.
Requirements:
- MIStructE qualified with at least 4 years’ post-qualification experience
- BEng and/or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Experienced carrying out detailed design work on complex engineering projects across multiple sectors for both new build and modification projects
- Design skills in a wide range of materials including concrete, masonry and steel
- Experience with structural appraisal of both commercial and industrial structures, residential dwellings and bridge inspections
- Experienced at managing projects, client expectations and managing of an engineering team
- Ability to train and mentor junior engineering staff
- Strong IT skills including: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla TEDDS, SCIA, IDEA Static and 3D Max
