Our client is a leading Water Hygiene and Legionella Compliance consultancy providing specialist Water Safety services across commercial, healthcare, industrial, manufacturing and public sector environments. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Cooling Tower Risk Assessor to join their expanding consultancy team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to specialise in Cooling Tower Risk Assessments, working with a diverse portfolio of clients throughout the UK.
The Role
As a Cooling Tower Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for carrying out detailed inspections and risk assessments on cooling towers and evaporative cooling systems, ensuring compliance with current legislation and industry best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out Cooling Tower Risk Assessments in accordance with ACOP L8 and HSG274 Part 1
- Inspect cooling towers, evaporative condensers and associated water systems
- Assess system condition, operational practices and compliance arrangements
- Identify Legionella risks and provide practical remedial recommendations
- Produce detailed technical reports and schematic drawings
- Review written schemes of control and maintenance programmes
- Audit site logbooks and compliance documentation
- Provide technical advice and support to clients and duty holders
- Attend client meetings to discuss findings and compliance requirements
- Work closely with Water Treatment and Water Hygiene teams
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience carrying out Cooling Tower Risk Assessments
- Excellent knowledge of ACOP L8 and HSG274 Part 1
- Good understanding of evaporative cooling systems and water treatment programmes
- Experience producing detailed technical reports
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a nationwide workload
- Must be willing to travel and spend between 3 – 5 days a month working away
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
- City & Guilds or recognised Legionella Risk Assessment qualification
- Experience auditing Cooling Tower management programmes
- Water Treatment or Water Hygiene background
- Experience delivering technical advice to clients
- Membership of a recognised professional body
