Geo-Environmental Consultant – Essex
Our clients are a multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy providing a range of services to clients throughout the South East. They are currently looking to recruit a Geo-Environmental Consultant to join their Geo-Environmental division based out of their Head Office in Essex.
This role will include but is not limited to the following:
- To undertake phased contaminated land studies and provide consultancy advice for all clients.
- Managing ground investigations
- Preparing quotations
- Scheduling / programming monitoring works
- Preparation of engineer’s logs
- Scheduling the preparation of technical reports
- Arranging chemical analysis
- Preparation of risk assessments
- Review of technical reports
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Geo-Environmental position
- Degree in Geology, Earth Sciences or Environmental Engineering
- A thorough understanding of the ground investigation and geo-environmental industry, including knowledge of relevant plant and equipment, standard specifications, various conditions of contract forms, Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation.
- A strong technical background in the investigation, remediation and validation of contaminated land, site specific risk assessments, CLEA and other risk models, groundwater contamination, landfill gas risk assessments, remediation techniques and waste soil classification
In return:
- £25,000 - £30,000 salary (DOE)
