Geo-Environmental Engineer – Warwickshire
Our clients are a small Geo-Environmental & Geotechnical Engineering consultancy with an expanding client base and exciting workload. As they continue to grow, they are now looking for an Assistant Geo-Environmental Engineer to join their growing team based out of their Warwickshire office.
They’re looking for someone with circa 1-2 years’ experience to work both on site (nationwide) and in the office on Geo-Environmental and Geotechnical investigations on a wide variety of projects.
The Role:
• Site based support of ground investigations, including supervision of subcontractors and providing assistance to subcontractors as required
• Fieldwork including soil logging, geotechnical soils testing and scheduling
• Gas and groundwater monitoring and sampling
• Data collection, review and interpretation
• Preparation of factual and interpretative desk study and ground investigation reports
• Providing logistics assistance to more senior staff
• Ensuring that all work is delivered in line with procedures and processes and to the highest safety, health and environmental standards
• Management of sample storage and despatch to geotechnical and chemical testing laboratories
Requirements:
• Circa 1-2 years’ experience of ground investigation works
• Bachelors degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or Geology
• Post-graduate qualification in related subject is desirable
• Strong communication skills
• Be physically fit and able to carry out labour roles as required
• Flexible to work on projects across the UK
• Full UK driving licence
In Return:
• £22,000 - £25,000 salary
