I am working in partnership with a highly respected and sought after consultancy with offices in London and Surrey. They have been growing at a steady rate and now have a need for a Graduate Building Surveyor to compliment the team. 

The successful candidate will be supported through the RICS APC process to gain Chartered Status. They will also have the opportunity to have the support of a mentor in the company to help them achieve their career goals. If required you will be assisted with funding if tied in to a training contract in your current role, they attract the best of the best and the head of one sector started out as a Graduate, it can be done. 

You will be offered the opportunity to undertake a broad range of surveying duties for various private and Local Authority Clients across a wide variety of sectors.

Some of the work will be with prime and super prime residential properties, office buildings, theatres, shopping centres predominantly in London and the Southeast. You will be expected to drive the projects forward in a proactive manner, be a team player, focused on excellence in service delivery and communications with Clients and Contractors alike, be extremely organised, personable and have a keen attention to detail.

The role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience as a Building Surveyor working alongside Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors.

Day-to-day Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in undertaking measured and building surveys.
  • Help in the preparation of existing and proposed plans.
  • Assist in preparing Schedules of Condition and Awards for Party Wall matters.
  • Write specifications and prepare tender documentation.
  • Attend project progress meetings and prepare minutes and progress reports.
  • Analyse tenders and prepare tender reports.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • To have or be working towards an accredited Degree in Building Surveying.
  • Be willing to work towards your APC and gain full membership status of RICS (MRICS).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with colleagues, Clients and members of the public.
  • Good IT skills and a full working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • CAD/BIM Experience beneficial.
  • Have a keen eye for detail and strive to provide a quality service.

THE SALARY PACKAGE: The ideal candidate will be working towards gaining their degree on a part time basis. Salary will depend on level of education and experience, it will be in the region of £30k to £40k but it will be bssed on your ability and experience.
