Our client is an established Water Treatment and Water Hygiene company looking to recruit an Account Manager or Junior Account Manager to cover customers throughout the South East of England, including London.
This position would suit either an existing Water Treatment Account Manager looking for a new opportunity or an experienced Water Treatment Engineer or Service Chemist who is keen to progress into a more commercially focused role.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing customer relationships, providing technical support and ensuring clients receive a high standard of service across their Water Treatment and Water Hygiene requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their account management experience while continuing to utilise their technical knowledge of Water Treatment systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with existing customers throughout the South East and London.
- Carry out regular customer site visits, providing technical advice and support.
- Assist with the management of Water Treatment and Water Hygiene contracts.
- Undertake or coordinate routine Water Hygiene activities in accordance with ACOP L8 and HSG274.
- Provide technical support relating to closed water systems, including water sampling, analysis and treatment recommendations.
- Review customer requirements and identify opportunities for additional services.
- Prepare quotations, technical recommendations and customer reports.
- Liaise with engineers and operational teams to ensure service delivery meets customer expectations.
- Assist with the development of new business opportunities within the designated territory.
- Maintain accurate records of customer visits, service activities and account performance.
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience within the Water Treatment or Water Hygiene industry is essential.
- Working knowledge of ACOP L8 Water Hygiene monitoring and maintenance activities.
- Good technical understanding of closed water systems, including sampling, testing and chemical treatment.
- Previous account management experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Applications are welcomed from Water Treatment Engineers, Service Chemists and Water Hygiene professionals looking to progress into account management.
- Good communication and customer relationship skills.
- Commercial awareness and an interest in developing sales and account management experience.
- Ability to work independently and manage a regional customer base.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ideally based within the South East, with convenient access into London.
Salary & Benefits
- Basic salary of £28,000 – £35,000, depending on experience.
