Our client is a leading provider of environmental and safety services, delivering high-quality water hygiene and compliance solutions across a wide range of sectors. They are currently looking to recruit an experienced Lead Plumber / Water Hygiene Engineer to join their team based in Leeds.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled plumber with water hygiene experience to take on a leading role within a growing business. The role will involve regular travel, including overnight stays, and a mix of independent and team-based working.
Main Duties:
- Carry out plumbing remedial works in line with SFG20 standards
- Undertake tank cleaning and chlorination of water systems
- Perform TMV servicing, including fail-safe testing
- Conduct calorifier inspections and RPZ valve servicing
- Complete pipework modifications and dead leg removal
- Identify faults and communicate findings clearly to clients
- Produce detailed reports in line with current legislation and best practice
- Maintain accurate records via digital reporting systems
- Ensure all works are carried out safely and in compliance with regulations
- Work across various client sites, including safety-critical environments
Experience Required:
- NVQ / City & Guilds qualification in Plumbing
- Strong knowledge of Legionella Control (ACOP L8) and HSG274
- Proven experience in:
- Plumbing remedials
- TMV installations and servicing
- Pipework modifications and dead leg removal
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and produce clear reports
- Experience working in compliance-focused environments
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
