Are you passionate about Water Consultancy and Equipment? This could be your opportunity to excel as a Lead Service Engineer, playing a key role in helping our business grow and succeed.

As our company continues to expand, we’re looking for a dedicated, motivated, and reliable Lead Service Engineer to join our Environment & Safety Division. You’ll be part of a collaborative team within our Water Consultancy & Equipment function, where efficiency, independence, and teamwork are equally valued. Due to the nature of the role, travel will be a regular part of your day-to-day work.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Servicing & Maintenance

  • Service and maintain a range of water treatment systems including Softeners, Reverse Osmosis Units, Ozone Units, Side Stream Filtration Units, UV Units, and Dosing Units (minimum 5 years of relevant experience required).

Technical Problem Resolution

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Project Leadership

  • Lead installation projects from planning to completion, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.

Procedure Development

  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to develop comprehensive service procedures for all manufactured and serviced equipment.

Technical Expertise & Support

  • Act as the main technical contact for inquiries related to the company’s water treatment product range.

Process Improvement

  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to streamline processes, improve reporting, and increase operational efficiency.

Skills Assessment & Training

  • Support the development of an engineer competency matrix and deliver technical training to new and existing engineers.

Performance Management

  • Monitor and support the performance of Service Engineers, coordinating training to drive continuous improvement.

Health & Safety Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety standards across all company and client sites.

Client Site Management

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of key client sites and implement service procedures to maintain consistent service quality.

Travel Requirements

  • Flexibility is required for travel, including potential overnight stays and occasional weekend work.

 

About You

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

  • 3+ years of experience servicing water treatment equipment (Softeners, RO Units, Ozone Units, UV Units, Dosing Units).
  • Strong technical problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
  • Proven leadership experience in installation projects and team coordination.
  • Excellent communication and training abilities.
  • Strong process development and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety compliance within industrial environments.
  • A flexible, customer-focused approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.

 

About the Water Consultancy & Equipment Team

Our Water Consultancy Team delivers services including statutory water hygiene tasks, chemical and microbiological analysis of systems such as cooling towers, domestic water systems, and closed heating/chilled circuits.

Our Water Equipment Engineers design and manufacture equipment in-house, supported by CAD schematics and Revit files. We supply clients with systems such as reverse osmosis units, water softeners, and water filtration systems, among others.
