Our client is a leading support services company that is looking to recruit a Legionella Technical Compliance Lead in the South West of the UK


As a Legionella Compliance Lead and inspector, you'll need to:

Visit sites, and inspect assets on that site, returning to the site office and checking that the paper trail for each asset matches what is out there on the ground. Carry out a detailed examination of a sites Legionellosis records (Written Control Scheme) ensuring that the company are effectively managing the risks within their control. 

Ensure that site records contain but are not limited to the following:

The systems, e.g. a schematic diagram and full RA with remedials completed. 

The holding of a site Legionella Log Book which is clearly and accurately completed and current

The safe and correct operation of each system

What control methods and other precautions are being used.

What checks are carried out, and how often they are carried out, to ensure the controls remain effective and records of these inspections. 

Keep records of these and other actions taken, such as maintenance or repair work

Provide assistance, training, technical advice as needed to the site teams.  Give any advice required and prepare reports as required on the condition, of an asset or sites record keeping.

Ensure that all work complies with internationally accepted standards, the control of Legionella bacteria in hot and cold water systems, and take a detailed look at current water safety risk management practices, recommended industry guidelines and the safety regulations that surround this process including the Health and Safety Executives ACOP L8 and HSG274 documents.

Candidates will ideally come from a Mechanical Engineering or Plumbing background and will hold recognised qualifications. Candidates will potentially hold City & Guilds in Legionella Risk Assessing.
