Our client is a leading specialist in Legionella Risk Management and Water Safety and is looking to recruit a Legionella Consultant to join their expanding consultancy team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor who is looking to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will receive specialist training in Cooling Tower Risk Assessments and Pseudomonas aeruginosa Risk Assessments, making this an ideal role for someone who is keen to broaden their technical knowledge and develop into a specialist consultant.
The role is home-based with travel throughout the UK, working across a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and high-risk sites.
The Role
- Carry out Legionella Risk Assessments in accordance with ACoP L8, HSG274, and BS 8580 guidance
- Produce detailed, high-quality risk assessment reports with practical recommendations
- Conduct surveys of domestic hot and cold water systems across a wide variety of premises
- Build strong relationships with clients, providing professional technical advice and guidance
- Work closely with senior consultants while undertaking specialist training in:
- Cooling Tower Risk Assessments
- Pseudomonas aeruginosa Risk Assessments
- Maintain accurate electronic reports and supporting documentation
- Keep up to date with current legislation, guidance, and industry best practice
- Represent the company professionally on client sites at all times
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments
- Experience assessing a broad range of commercial and industrial properties (not solely domestic or social housing)
- Degree qualified (Science, Environmental, Engineering, or similar preferred)
- Excellent report writing and technical documentation skills
- Stable employment history demonstrating commitment and reliability
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- A genuine desire to learn, develop, and progress within a specialist consultancy environment
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK and stay away from home approximately 4–5 nights per month
