Our client is one of the UK’s leading independent Water Hygiene Specialist, driving the evolution of the Water Treatment field with innovation and best practice to ensure the safety of people in the communities we serve.

Due to their continued success our client has an exiting opportunity for an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor to deliver water system surveys and risk assessments to a variety of community-based customers, working across a wide range of building types including individual residences and small offices to large schools, care homes and healthcare facilities. This role is field based and is focused on the customer base throughout the Home Counties.

Reporting to the Risk Assessment Team Supervisor, the Legionella Risk Assessor is responsible for the delivery of our UKAS accredited Legionella Risk Assessment services to customer sites.

Roles and Responsibilities:

As a Legionella Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring customer and business compliance with ACoP L8, HSG274 part 2, BS 8580-1 and other relevant industry standards and guidance
  • Promoting and supporting Health & Safety regulatory standards and practices within the company’s services delivery  
  • Problem solving / diagnosing faults within Plumbing Systems and making recommendations for maintenance and remedial work where appropriate
  • Co-ordinating with the internal Quality Control / Assurance team to ensure delivery of related documentation to regulatory standards
  • Compiling accurate schematic diagrams of domestic water systems

Key Skills and Experience:

We are looking for someone who is able demonstrate:

  • Demonstrable experience of the Water Hygiene Industry and/or conducting Risk Assessment is essential
  • Approved Legionella Risk Assessor Qualifications (e.g. City & Guilds, BOHS, WMSoc) is desirable but certification can be arranged for an experienced candidate
  • Competent working knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation and practice
  • Strong IT skills, particularly within Apple applications

There are some additional requirements you will need to meet to be considered:

  • Full UK Driving licence (vehicle will be provided)
  • Disclosure and Barring Service clearance (DBS check)
