A professional and growing water hygiene and compliance specialist is seeking an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor to join their team.

The company delivers reliable PPM services to help clients meet legal requirements and effectively manage waterborne risk. Services include temperature monitoring, shower disinfection, TMV servicing, and cold water storage tank cleaning, all carried out in line with ACoP L8 and HSG274 guidelines.

Job Details

As a Legionella Risk Assessor, you will conduct compliant risk assessments across a range of commercial and industrial sites. You will work both independently and alongside the wider water hygiene team to assess systems, produce reports, and support clients in managing Legionella risk.

 

What You Will Do

  • Carry out Legionella risk assessments in line with ACoP L8 and HSG274 (Parts 1–3)
  • Identify system risks and provide clear, practical, compliance-driven recommendations
  • Conduct detailed system inspections including temperature profiling, flow testing, and asset evaluations
  • Update and review schematic drawings where required
  • Produce high-quality, client-ready reports including photographic evidence
  • Act as a technical point of contact, explaining findings and advising clients on water safety strategies
  • Manage your own workload across the region, planning site visits and delivering reports within agreed timescales

 

Who You Are

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience carrying out Legionella risk assessments
  • Strong technical knowledge of ACoP L8 and HSG274 (Parts 1–3)
  • Proven ability to produce detailed, audit-ready reports
  • Able to work independently and manage a regional workload effectively
  • Hold a recognised Legionella Risk Assessment qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent)
  • Full UK driving licence
