Our client is a growing Water Hygiene and Legionella Compliance company providing specialist risk management services to clients across the commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, and public sectors.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor to join our team covering Hertfordshire, London, the Home Counties, and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities
- Carry out Legionella Risk Assessments in accordance with ACoP L8, HSG274, and BS 8580 guidelines
- Undertake surveys of domestic hot and cold-water systems
- Assess cooling towers, evaporative condensers, spa pools, and process water systems where applicable
- Identify potential Legionella risks and areas of non-compliance
- Produce detailed risk assessment reports and schematic drawings
- Provide practical recommendations and remedial actions to clients
- Review existing control measures and monitoring programmes
- Conduct site inspections and client meetings to discuss findings and recommendations
- Maintain accurate records using electronic reporting systems
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal departments to ensure compliance requirements are met
- Keep up to date with current legislation, guidance, and industry best practice
- Support water hygiene and compliance teams when required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Legionella Risk Assessor
- Strong working knowledge of ACoP L8, HSG274, and BS 8580
- Experience assessing a variety of commercial, healthcare, educational, and industrial properties
- Ability to produce high-quality technical reports
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Good organisational and time-management abilities
- Competent in the use of tablets, laptops, and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable Qualifications
- City & Guilds Legionella Risk Assessment Qualification
- WMSoc Legionella Risk Assessor Certificate
- BOHS P901 Qualification
- Experience carrying out water hygiene monitoring tasks
- Knowledge of schematic production software
- Experience of auditing Legionella management systems
