Our client is a well-established Water Hygiene and Legionella Compliance company that has been providing specialist water hygiene, risk assessment and compliance services to commercial, industrial and public sector clients across the UK for many years.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor to join their expanding team.
The Role
As a Legionella Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for carrying out compliant Legionella Risk Assessments across a wide variety of commercial, industrial and residential sites. Working independently and as part of an experienced Water Hygiene team, you will ensure clients remain compliant with current legislation while providing practical recommendations to reduce Legionella risk.
Duties Include
- Carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments in accordance with ACOP L8 and HSG274 Parts 1, 2 & 3
- Surveying domestic hot and cold water systems to identify potential Legionella risks
- Producing detailed, accurate and professional risk assessment reports
- Updating or producing schematic drawings where required
- Recommending remedial actions to ensure client compliance
- Managing your own workload and daily schedule efficiently
- Liaising professionally with clients and site contacts
- Undertaking occasional Water Hygiene compliance duties including:
- Water temperature monitoring
- Water sampling
- Flushing of little-used outlets
- Cold water storage tank inspections
- Showerhead and outlet cleaning and descaling
- Maintaining accurate electronic records using mobile reporting systems
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with current health & safety procedures and company standards
The Successful Candidate Will Have
- Previous experience carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments
- Strong knowledge of ACOP L8, HSG274, and current Legionella guidance
- Experience assessing a wide range of domestic hot and cold water systems
- Excellent report writing skills with a high level of technical accuracy
- Previous Water Hygiene monitoring or compliance experience
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good organisational and time management abilities
- The ability to work independently and manage a mobile role
- Good IT skills and experience using electronic reporting software
- A full UK driving licence

- Basic salary £30K - £35K
