Our client, an established and expanding Water Hygiene and Legionella Compliance company, is looking to recruit an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor based in or around London to cover commercial and industrial contracts across the South East.

The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out comprehensive Legionella Risk Assessments across a range of commercial, industrial and higher-risk environments.
Key duties will include:
- Carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments in accordance with ACoP L8, HSG274, HTM 04-01 and BS 8580-1:2019
- Assessing hot and cold water systems and identifying potential areas of Legionella risk
- Producing accurate schematic drawings of water systems
- Reviewing and validating completed Risk Assessment documentation
- Identifying areas of non-compliance and providing appropriate recommendations
- Advising clients on the elimination, reduction and ongoing management of Legionella risk
- Producing detailed and technically accurate Risk Assessment reports
- Reviewing site logbooks and existing Water Hygiene documentation
- Attending client meetings to discuss Risk Assessment findings and recommendations
- Providing technical advice and support to customers
- Ensuring all assessments are completed in accordance with current legislation, guidance and company procedures
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years' experience carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments
- Previous experience within a Water Hygiene / Legionella consultancy environment would be advantageous
- More experienced candidates should ideally have experience assessing higher-risk and complex water systems
- Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial water systems
- Good understanding of current Water Regulations and Legionella compliance requirements
- Excellent working knowledge of ACoP L8, HSG274, HTM 04-01 and BS 8580
- Recognised Legionella Risk Assessment qualification such as City & Guilds, BOHS or Water Management Society
- Ability to produce detailed reports and accurate water system schematics
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Full UK Driving Licence
