Our client is a specialist water hygiene company committed to providing water hygiene and water treatment services throughout the UK. They are experts in the control and prevention of Legionnaires’ disease and are dedicated to keeping buildings safe.
They are currently looking to recruit a Training & Technical Manager to work from their Bristol office
This varied role is a combination of technical training delivery, audit and technical support for the sales and operations teams.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced water hygiene and water treatment professional, with good practical problem-solving skills and the genuine desire to improve technical standards across the company.
The work is varied and the environment changes daily, making this a challenging and interesting role.
We are looking for candidates with the following attributes and skills:
• City & Guilds qualification in legionella risk assessing
• Degree or equivalent
• Extensive knowledge of HSE guidance for legionella control

Key responsibilities
Training
Working with the Technical Director to ensure the delivery of internal training courses and site-based mentoring of technicians. Including ongoing improvement of internal training standards and delivery. The role also includes delivering Customer training course such as legionella awareness and Responsible Person training.
Technical support
As the go-to person for technical queries and support, you will manage positive legionella cases including results analysis and advice for further control measure. You must be able to effectively communicate escalation plans to the wider team. Give support and advise the sales team on technically complex quotes and provide technical support for field-based team either on site or by phone.
You will identify potential customers who are regarded as high risk or where there are issues and work with them closely to resolve problems and work towards customer retention targets.
The management of ACoP L8 non-compliance is a key part of the role as is the review of Legionella risk assessments and providing advice about high-risk legionella sites.
You will be responsible for job control management for projects, which includes equipment and supplies planning. Producing job specific RAMS and advise on site-based H&S risk factors.
Regular site visits will be required for customer review meetings, audit, job surveying, training and project management.
Audit and quality management
Part of the job will also require on site quality audits to ensure standards are maintained and recorded. Other audit and quality tasks include COSHH legislation, maintaining accreditations, QMS auditing and calibration of equipment. There is an ongoing duty to manage the quality of documentation and seeking ways to improve the quality of our services.

Salary from £35K-£40K per annum
28 days annual leave inc. bank holidays, increasing to 33 days with service.
