Plumber / Water Hygiene Engineer - Sussex

Our client is a leader in the field of Legionella Management and Control. They are now recruiting for a Multi Skilled Engineer to cover work from South London down to the South Coast.

This is a multi skilled role where you will be carrying out Legionella Risk Assessing, Remedial Plumbing and PPM Water Hygiene works

There is an opportunity for this to a Regional Managers role in the future for the right candidate.

Duties Include

  • Conducting Legionella Risk Assessments within a range pof properts
  • Conduct site risk assessment surveys of domestic water systems in accordance with BS8580-1-2019, HSG 274 and ACOP L8.
  • Produce a safe scheme of operation tailored to each water system.
  • Check existing schematics and update / produce new as and when required.
  • Remedial Work
  • General Plumbing Work
  • Tank Replacements
  • Water Heater Replacements
  • Conducting PPM visits on other local contracts to assist holidays and absence of other staff which may include.
  • Temperature monitoring
  • Shower descaling
  • Water tank inspections
  • Water sampling
  • Water system cleaning and disinfections
  • Cleaning & Disinfections
  • Expansion Vessel Maintenance

Experience Required:

  • An in date Legionella Risk Assessment training certificate.
  • At least 2 years’ experience of conducting Legionella Risk Assessments
  • City & Guilds Level 2 in Plumbing
  • The ability to manage own workload
  • Excellent organisation
  • Good time keeping
  • DBS
