Our client, a leading Air & Water Consultancy, is looking for a proactive and experienced PPM & Remedial Plumbing Operative to join their growing team. This role is essential in supporting site compliance with Legionella control measures and ensuring water systems are maintained to the highest standards.
Role Overview
You’ll be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and minor remedial plumbing works across a range of domestic and commercial sites. A key part of the role involves maintaining accurate compliance logbooks and implementing corrective actions identified through risk assessments—helping to mitigate the risk of Legionella outbreaks.
You’ll work closely with the Business Manager to ensure all activities align with LCA (Legionella Control Association) guidelines and demonstrate robust compliance.
Key Responsibilities
	- Conduct PPM tasks and inspections on hot and cold-water systems
- Maintain and update site Legionella control logbooks in line with task matrices
- Perform minor plumbing works including:
	
		- Removal of dead legs
- TMV/TMT servicing
- Tap replacements
- Calorifier flushing
 
- Advise clients on remedial actions, monitoring schedules, and compliance best practices
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with ACOP L8 and HSG274 guidance
Skills & Qualifications
	- Minimum 2 years’ experience in water hygiene or water treatment
- NVQ Level 1/2 or City & Guilds qualification in domestic plumbing
- Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping
- Full UK driving licence (must be 21+ for insurance purposes)
- Legionella awareness training or certification (preferred but not essential
Package 
Salary: £30,000 – £34,000 (DOE)
