Principal / Associate Civil Engineer – Birmingham
We are working with an international multi-disciplinary consultancy providing a wide variety of engineering and sustainability services. Due to an increased workload, they are now looking to recruit a Principal / Associate Civil Engineer to join their Birmingham office.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil Infrastructure Engineer to play a leading role in the development of the civil engineering team and shape the engineering of some of the most exciting and prestigious civil infrastructure (drainage, flood risk assessments, highways, earthworks and building infrastructure) design projects in the UK.
Growing a team of specialist engineers and technicians, and working closely with colleagues of various disciplines, you will manage the delivery of projects, ensuring your expertise and knowledge can be shared throughout the business.
Requirements:
• Be a Chartered Engineer (CEng or equivalent)
• Educated to degree level in Civil Engineering (MEng or BEng)
• Significant practical experience of civil engineering within a consultancy environment, and an accomplished level of relevant IT skills in design software including AutoCAD, Windes and Civil 3D
• Strong working knowledge of the local construction market within the Midlands with a background in the design of infrastructure for highway and drainage authorities and developers
• Experience managing projects with full responsibility for all aspects of design, taking schemes from initial concept through to detailed design for construction
• Ability to manage and develop a team of engineers and technicians
In Return:
• Circa £40,000 - £60,000 salary DOE
