Our client, a specialist in Legionella Control and Water Hygiene, is looking to recruit an experienced Remedial Plumber to cover the North West region.
This is a field-based role focused on delivering remedial plumbing works and water hygiene compliance tasks across a varied portfolio of commercial and industrial sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Remedial & Plumbing Works:
- Carry out dead leg removals and pipework modifications
- Install, service, and replace TMVs (Thermostatic Mixing Valves)
- Conduct tank replacements and modifications
- Install and replace water heaters and calorifiers
- Perform general plumbing remedial works in line with compliance standards
Water Hygiene Duties:
- Assist with cleaning and disinfection of water systems
- Support tank inspections and maintenance
- Carry out basic temperature monitoring and water sampling when required
- Ensure all work is completed in line with:
- ACOP L8
- HSG274 guidelines
- Complete accurate service reports and documentation via digital systems
Experience Required
- Proven experience in remedial plumbing within the water hygiene sector
- Strong knowledge of:
- TMV servicing and installations
- Dead leg removal
- Water system compliance
- NVQ / City & Guilds in Plumbing (or equivalent)
- Good understanding of Legionella control regulations (L8)
- Ability to work independently and manage workload
- Full UK driving licence
