Our client is a leading Water Treatment Company that is now recruiting for a Senior Account Manager to join the Company. Ideally candidates will be based West London / Home Counties
Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Regional Director, the Senior Account Manager’s role is responsible for managing their operational team to provide successful contract delivery, whilst also deputising for the Regional Director during absences and taking a senior role in the regional account management. They are required to ensure client contracts meet KPIs to achieve the best possible financial and operational performance for the business.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage contract delivery for your contracts including the management of KPIs.
- To deputise for the Regional Director during absence, working with the Operations Director where required.
- Provide support and guidance for the account managers within the region
- Assist the Regional Director in driving the growth of the region through client engagement, added value and business development within current markets.
- Respond to client queries, conduct investigations and site visits where deemed appropriate, within a suitable and agreed timeframe.
- Attend quarterly operational review meetings with the Operations Director and Regional Directors and at other times when required.
- Attend periodic review meetings, in person or via communication platforms
- Where necessary, discuss and review remedial actions required to resolve any issues identified from site reports. Create remedial programmes of work and keep relevant parties updated on progress.
- Liaise with the Purchasing Department to ensure timely order and provision of materials and parts for remedial works; and provide receipt of satisfactory goods and services as necessary.
- Oversee and maintain cost control on contracts by reviewing productivity and works completed as well as cost of materials and parts.
- Ensure that all elements required to conduct effective, contract mobilisation are completed in a timely manner.
- Assist in month end reporting whereby you review financial data for the prior month to determine all revenue has been accounted for and costs have been allocated correctly.
- Produce and issue non-generic Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for work to be carried out which falls outside of standard, company issued RAMS, or where site specific RAMS are a necessity.
- Liaise with sub-contractors to identify work to be completed and ensure it is completed to a satisfactory standard.
- Complete Legionella Compliance Review documents with clients prior to commencement of new contracts and review on an annual basis.
- Review and authorise measures proposed by Account Supervisors for issuing work to operatives
- Provide general guidance to Account Supervisors in taking suitable course of action in dealing with engineer issues.
- Provide technical support to Account Supervisors for recommendations for corrective actions, such as sample failures where recommendations are outside standard procedures.
- Support Account Supervisors and be the escalation point for engineer issues including both performance and behavioural issues.
- Authorise and manage annual leave and absence within your operational team, ensuring adequate resources will be sufficiently maintained or liaising with colleagues over potential issues.
- Conduct second stage interviews with potential new site staff and identify suitability for the role.
- Where necessary, conduct investigations and either create actions to improve performance or take other necessary action to resolve the situation; arrange follow ups as applicable.
- Provide training to Account Supervisors to assist in their development and help build their skills, knowledge, experience and overall competency level.
Person specification
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Knowledge and experience of conducting water testing and monitoring (in accordance with ACoP L8 guidelines)
- Possess high levels of attention to detail and analytical skills
- Experience of writing accurate reports and providing financial review
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines.
- Ability to influence and negotiate, whilst maintaining strong, trustworthy relationships with stakeholders.
- Uphold a positive attitude along with high levels of commitment and motivation
- Strong ICT skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
