MRICS Chartered Building Surveyors based in London offering an opportunity to work alongside a dynamic growing team, to service existing instructions and to grow our local and national business.

To build upon and expand the current client base at local and regional level.

Responsibilities include:

  • To actively undertake core Building Surveying commissions such as Surveys, Design and Specification, Contract Administration, Employers Agent, Project Management, Party Wall matters, Dilapidations, Defect Reporting, etc.
  • Assist with and prepare fee quotations and bids.
  • To provide professional advice to clients for the use of buildings within both the Private and Public sector.
  • To forge good working relationships with teams in our other offices.
  • To ensure best practice and compliance with legal requirements is adhered to at all times.
  • To ensure client care is a priority at all times and that client requests are dealt with effectively and efficiently.
  • To ensure that all work is carried out competently, correctly and to time.

Key Qualifications/Experience

  • MRICS qualified.
  • Strong client relationship skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Experience monitoring residential developments for banks / lenders.
  • Ability to use AutoCAD for production of technical drawings.
  • Practical understanding of commercial property and building surveying procedures.
  • Strong verbal & numerical skills and adept at report writing.
  • A team player with an out-going persona and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision when necessary.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage time and assist the team in meeting deadlines.
  • Commercial acumen, knowledge of competitors, business strategies.
  • A current, full driving licence is essential.

There will also be the requirement to attend other offices from time to time for team events, training, and project specific meetings but you would be based in London.
