Due to company expansion we have a vacancy for a Senior Building Surveyor to join a Consultancy in their office in Birmingham. With a new office opening shortly this company is expanding and will offer excellent long term career development and support.
You will need to be self-driven and highly competent with the confidence working in this client facing role. You will be covering the Midlands and Yorkshire so will need to have a driving license and be happy to travel.
You will have the benefit of a diverse range of high quality instructions with a focus on design and contract administration of new build, extension, refurbishment and renewal building projects mainly within the education sector.
The criteria you will need to meet to be successful in your application includes:
- Party Wall surveying
- Professional services work
- Fire Risk Assessments
Experience with all round Building Surveying within the Education Sector is essential.
Some of the duties you will be involved in include:
- Contract Administration
- Project Management (RIBA work stages)
- Design and use of AutoCAD
- Feasibility Studies and budget costings
- Preparing scheme designs
- Experience and track record of securing Capital funding
- Condition Surveys, identifying and analysing Building Defects
- Processing planning applications
- Party Wall procedures
You will be offered a salary and package reflective of your ability and experience level ranging from £40k to £50k plus expenses. Benefits include Healthcare, car allowance, pension.
