Senior Environmental Scientist – Surrey
We’re working with an independent award winning multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy operating across a range of sectors including education, healthcare, commercial, residential, leisure, regeneration and masterplanning. Due to ongoing success, they are currently looking to expand their Land Quality team by recruiting a Senior Environmental Scientist to join their Surrey office.
The Land Quality team is involved in the regeneration of a number of complex sites, including landfills and gasworks, as well as assisting in risk assessments of numerous land developments. They are looking for an experience Environmental Scientist to play a key role in the Land Quality team whilst also interfacing with the in-house engineering teams (geotechnical, civil and structural), EIA specialists, GIS and Transport teams.
The Role:
The role will involve assisting in the provision of land quality (contaminated land) appraisals alongside input into Technical Due Diligence studies. Working as part of a team and reporting to the Land Quality Associate/Partner, you will assist in land development assessments and work on a variety of regeneration projects.

Requirements:
- MSc educated in Environmental Sciences
- Experienced in Tier 1-3 contaminated land risk assessments and the design and implementation of remediation schemes
- Numerate with strong data management and report writing skills
- Commercial and client focused approach
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience of project and team management
- Any experience in the delivery of feasibility and pre-planning services would be beneficial
