Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant – Worcestershire

Our clients are a multi-disciplinary consultancy providing geotechnical, environmental and ecological services to a wide range of clients across multiple sectors throughout the UK. Due to ongoing success, they are now looking to recruit a Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant to join their team in Worcestershire.

The Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for a Geo-Environmental Consultant with approximately 5 to 10 years’ experience with a site investigation contractor or consultancy to join a rapidly expanding geo-environmental consultancy. Experience should include extensive experience of environmental site investigation techniques and logging to BS5930, geotechnical and environmental interpretation and a working knowledge of current contaminated land requirements.

The role is highly varied, and the successful candidate will be actively involved in the day-to-day project management of Geo-environmental Phase 1 and Phase 2 site investigations across the UK and the preparation of interpretative geotechnical and environmental reports. Works also include design, overseeing and validating remediation works. A good knowledge of standard computer programmes such as MS Office is essential and a basic knowledge of AutoCAD would be advantageous (although not essential). Training will be provided both on a mentoring basis and from external courses.

The successful candidate will be expected to undertake site-based fieldwork throughout the UK, therefore, a full driving licence is considered essential.

Requirements:

- Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology or similar relevant subject

- Post-graduate qualification is desirable but not essential

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working on geo-environmental/geotechnical site investigation projects

- Strong report writing skills

- Strong IT skills including MS Office and a basic knowledge of AutoCAD would be advantageous

- Willingness to travel to sites throughout the UK when required

- Full UK driving licence

In Return:

- £28,000 - £35,000

- Genuine progression prospects as part of a growing business

- Ongoing training and CPD

- Flexible benefits package
