Structural Technician – Birmingham
We are working with an international multi-disciplinary consultancy providing a wide variety of engineering and sustainability services. Due to an increased workload, they are now looking to recruit a Structural Technician to join their Birmingham office.
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Structural BIM Technician to join their team where you will take responsibility for BIM and CAD coordination and daily management of project data sets/workflows.
As part of their established team of engineers and CAD/Revit technicians, and working closely with colleagues of various disciplines, you will prepare detailed information packages from Revit Structures in a BIM environment, implement 3D coordination with the Design Team, and train and mentor Engineers in the use of Revit.
Requirements:
• Accredited with a relevant HNC/HND (or equivalent)
• Strong practical experience of using Revit structures in a similar building-based role, you possess an excellent understanding of relevant software packages including Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks. Experience of Dynamo and BIM 360 would be beneficial but are not essential
• You will have an understanding of BIM Level 2 standards and LOD/LOI whilst also having proven experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines. You are adept at planning and organising your own workload and that of others within the team, and crucially – have a passion for creative, sustainable and intuitive design
• Given the collaborative nature of this role, excellent communication skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential
In Return:
• Circa £30,000 - £40,000 salary DOE
