Our client a Water Treatment Company is expanding its operations in Scotland and is looking for a capable Water Treatment Supervisor. This is a key hire that will help shape and develop a new team of technicians across the region.
The ideal candidate will already have strong water experience and the confidence to lead others, while also being motivated to learn more about cooling towers, closed systems, and wider water treatment processes. Full training on cooling tower work will be provided where required.
Role Overview
This position combines hands‑on technical work with supervisory responsibility. You will support the delivery of high‑quality water hygiene and treatment services while helping to build and mentor a growing team in Scotland.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising and supporting a team of water hygiene technicians as the Scottish division grows
- Carrying out weekly cooling tower servicing (training provided if needed)
- Completing closed loop system checks, sampling, and analysis
- Delivering routine hot and cold water hygiene tasks, including temperature monitoring, TMV servicing, and system disinfection
- Ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and in line with ACOP L8 and HSG274
- Assisting with planning, scheduling, and coordinating workloads across the region
- Acting as a point of contact for clients, ensuring high service standards and clear communication
- Helping to embed best practice and support the long‑term development of the Scottish team
About You
- Strong background in water hygiene engineering
- Interest in developing water treatment skills, including cooling towers and closed systems
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior technicians (formal supervision experience beneficial but not essential)
- Organised, reliable, and confident working independently
- Full UK driving licence
- Ideally based on the East side of Scotland (Edinburgh / Fife)
