Our client is an independent building risk management consultancy, specialising in helping organisations prevent and control risks associated with fire, air quality, and waterborne pathogens, including those responsible for Legionnaires’ disease. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a skilled Water Hygiene Engineer to join their team and support clients across the South East
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine water hygiene monitoring tasks, including temperature checks, sampling, and inspection of hot and cold-water systems.
- Undertake the servicing and maintenance of TMVs (Thermostatic Mixing Valves).
- Conduct cleaning and disinfection of water systems, including cold water storage tanks and associated equipment.
- Complete flushing of infrequently used outlets in line with control schemes.
- Record all site findings and ensure accurate completion of logbooks and compliance documentation.
- Assist clients in ensuring compliance with ACoP L8, HSG 274, and company procedures.
- Work both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality service to a range of commercial and industrial clients.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience in a Water Hygiene Engineer or similar role within the water treatment / building services sector.
- Candidate's must be willing to work away from home maybe 3 – 5 days a week
- Must be able to pass an enhanced DBS status, due to the sites.
- Good understanding of water hygiene compliance and legislation.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate records and reports.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional, client-focused approach.
- Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel across the South East.
