Our client is a specialist provider of water hygiene and fire safety critical building compliance services, delivering planned and periodic solutions across a wide client base. Their services continue to evolve in line with client needs, most recently incorporating energy-reducing solutions linked to hot water systems in the social housing sector and light commercial premises.
They are now looking to appoint an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer to join their team, covering sites across the West Midlands.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine water hygiene monitoring tasks, including:
- Temperature monitoring of hot and cold-water systems
- Legionella and TVC sampling
- Inspection and maintenance of TMVs (Thermostatic Mixing Valves)
- Cold Water Storage Tank inspections
- Carry out system cleans and disinfections as required.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with ACoP L8, HSG 274 and company procedures.
- Accurately record data and complete compliance documentation.
- Provide a professional service on-site, building strong relationships with clients.
- Support in identifying opportunities for energy efficiency improvements in water systems.
- Maintain a high standard of health & safety at all times.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience as a Water Hygiene Engineer or similar role within the water treatment/compliance industry.
- Good understanding of water hygiene compliance and relevant legislation.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate records.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across the West Midlands.
