The Role
As a Water Hygiene Engineer, you’ll visit client sites to deliver best-in-class water hygiene services, ensuring full compliance with industry regulations. You’ll manage a dedicated portfolio of sites, taking ownership of service delivery while identifying opportunities to add value for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of client sites, ensuring consistent, high-quality service.
- Carry out water hygiene tasks in line with ACoP L8 and PPM schedules, covering domestic systems, heating, chilled, and condenser closed systems.
- Work closely with Account Managers and client site teams to maintain compliance and identify additional service opportunities.
- Keep site logbooks up to date and auditable, flagging any compliance gaps.
- Stay up to date with regulations and best practice through in-house and external training.
What We’re Looking For
We value character, passion, and a commitment to excellence. Alongside these qualities, the following skills and experience are essential:
- Working knowledge of ACoP L8 & HSG274.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to pass DBS clearance for working in schools, colleges, etc.
- Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces (training provided).
- Ability to work independently with a proactive, can-do attitude.
- Willingness to travel between sites throughout the working day.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience in the following is required:
- Tank inspections
- Temperature monitoring and recording
- Domestic system sampling
- Descaling showers
- Flushing outlets
- Legionella control
Experience in the following is desirable:
- Closed system sampling and analysis
- Cooling tower analysis
