Our client is a respected specialist in water hygiene, water treatment, and Legionella control, supporting clients across multiple sectors to maintain safe, compliant, and efficient water systems. With a strong reputation for technical expertise and service quality, the company is now looking to appoint a skilled Water Hygiene Engineer to join their growing team in the SW

 

Role Overview

The Water Hygiene Engineer will carry out a full range of water hygiene and compliance tasks across client sites, ensuring systems meet current legislation and industry best practice. The role involves both routine monitoring and remedial work, with a strong focus on accuracy, safety, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting temperature monitoring, water sampling, and inspection of hot and cold water systems
  • Completing TMV servicing, showerhead disinfection, and tank inspections
  • Carrying out clean and disinfection of water systems, including cold water storage tanks
  • Supporting Legionella control programmes in line with ACOP L8 and HSG274
  • Producing clear, accurate site reports and compliance documentation
  • Identifying non‑conformances and advising clients on corrective actions
  • Working safely and professionally on customer premises, representing Primary Water to a high standard

Experience & Skills Required

  • Previous experience in a Water Hygiene Engineer or Water Monitoring Technician role
  • Strong understanding of ACOP L8, HSG274, and water hygiene compliance tasks
  • Competent in temperature monitoring, sampling, TMV servicing, and basic remedial work
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality work
