Our client, an established and growing Water Treatment and Water Hygiene company, is looking to recruit an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer to cover commercial and industrial contracts across the West Midlands.
This is a varied field-based position offering the opportunity to work across a broad range of sites, carrying out routine Water Hygiene monitoring, Legionella compliance and associated remedial works.
The Role
- Temperature monitoring of hot and cold water systems
- Water sampling for Legionella and microbiological analysis
- TMV servicing, inspection and fail-safe testing
- Showerhead and hose cleaning, descaling and disinfection
- Cold Water Storage Tank inspections
- Calorifier inspections and temperature checks
- Flushing of little-used outlets
- Tank cleaning and chlorination works
- Basic remedial works where required
- Identifying potential non-compliance issues and recommending remedial actions
- Maintaining site logbooks and completing electronic service reports
- Liaising professionally with clients and site contacts
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with ACoP L8, HSG274 and relevant industry guidance
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working as a Water Hygiene Engineer / Technician
- Good practical knowledge of Water Hygiene and Legionella control
- Understanding of ACoP L8 and HSG274
- Experience carrying out temperature monitoring, sampling and TMV servicing
- Tank cleaning and disinfection experience would be advantageous
- Good communication and customer-facing skills
- Ability to work independently and organise your own workload
- Full UK Driving Licence
