We are currently recruiting for an established and growing Water Hygiene company that is looking to appoint an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer to cover sites throughout London and the South East.

The Role
Working across a range of commercial and industrial sites, you will be responsible for carrying out routine Water Hygiene and Legionella control duties in accordance with current legislation and industry guidance.
Duties will include:
- Temperature monitoring of hot and cold water systems
- Water sampling for Legionella and microbiological analysis
- Cold Water Storage Tank inspections
- Calorifier inspections
- Showerhead and outlet cleaning, descaling and disinfection
- TMV inspections, servicing and failsafe testing
- Flushing of little-used outlets
- Cleaning and disinfection of Cold Water Storage Tanks
- System chlorinations and disinfection works
- Identifying non-compliance issues and reporting remedial requirements
- Completing accurate site reports and maintaining client records
- Ensuring work is carried out in accordance with ACoP L8 and HSG274
- Liaising professionally with clients and site contacts
What We're Looking For
Candidates should ideally have:
- Previous experience working within the Water Hygiene / Legionella control industry
- Good understanding of ACoP L8 and HSG274
- Experience carrying out temperature monitoring, sampling, tank inspections and TMV checks
- Experience with cleaning and disinfection works would be advantageous
- Good communication and customer-facing skills
- Ability to manage your own workload and work independently
- Full UK driving licence
