Our client is a well-established Water Hygiene and Water Treatment company providing specialist Legionella compliance, water hygiene, and disinfection services to clients across the commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and public sectors.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer to join their team, ideally based along the M4 Corridor.

This is a varied field-based role combining routine Water Hygiene PPM duties with a strong focus on mains disinfections and chlorination works.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of Water Hygiene and disinfection duties, including:

  • Carrying out mains water disinfections and chlorinations
  • Cleaning and disinfection of domestic water systems
  • Undertaking routine Water Hygiene PPM visits
  • Hot and cold water temperature monitoring
  • Water sampling for Legionella and microbiological analysis
  • Cold Water Storage Tank inspections
  • Cleaning and disinfection of Cold Water Storage Tanks
  • Showerhead cleaning, descaling, and disinfection
  • TMV inspections, servicing, and fail-safe testing
  • Flushing of little-used outlets
  • Calorifier inspections and temperature monitoring
  • Completing accurate electronic service reports and compliance documentation
  • Identifying defects and recommending remedial works
  • Liaising with clients and site personnel to ensure works are completed efficiently
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with ACoP L8, HSG274, Water Regulations, and company procedures

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within the Water Hygiene industry
  • Experience carrying out mains disinfections / chlorination works is highly desirable
  • Good experience completing routine Water Hygiene PPM duties
  • Understanding of ACoP L8 and HSG274
  • Experience with temperature monitoring, sampling, tank inspections, and TMVs
  • Ability to work independently and manage a field-based workload
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Flexibility regarding travel and working hours when required for disinfection projects
  • Full UK Driving Licence
