A leading company within the Water Treatment & Hygiene Industry is now recruiting for a Water Hygiene Engineer in Scotland. The Water Hygiene services provision provides speciality and general Water Hygiene services for a variety of market sectors including commercial, local authority, NHS and industrial.

This is a mobile role, and you will be expected to work at various locations, mainly in the East of the Central Belt of Scotland, but not necessarily limited to this.

As Water Hygiene Technician you will be asked to complete water hygiene services on behalf of the company’s client portfolio ensuring that all works comply with the requirements of ACOP L8 & HSG274.

You will be the primary point of contact for clients during works on site and are responsible for the Health and Safety aspects of activities as well as ensuring all required reports are completed in a professional and timely fashion.

 

Key responsibilities.

To ensure that client sites are provided with the appropriate water hygiene services and are compliant with all industry specific and Health and Safety legislation

Communicating with customers to ensure that all work completed is satisfactory

Conducting site surveys and preparing reports in a timely fashion for clients or Account Managers

Developing and maintaining relationships with key client personnel and all relevant stakeholders

Completing field documentation and reports and ensuring they are circulated to the relevant stakeholders within the required time frames

Maintaining equipment in accordance with any company or statutory prescribed inspection regime. Reporting any deficiencies or repairs required in a timely fashion

Responsible for maintaining an inventory of commonly required tools and spares for water hygiene works

Work to achieve K.P. I’s and targets set and agreed with line manager

To carry out Legionella and TVC sampling

Record results and add assets via Zeta mobile application

Liaising with the Water Hygiene Supervisor with regards to all technical issues and quotes

Maintain regular communication with Water Hygiene Supervisor and Account Managers

 

Candidates will have the following experience.

Full working knowledge of ACoP L8 and HSG274

Holder of current UK driving licence

Holder of plumbing qualifications would be desirable

Experience with temperature monitoring of hot and cold-water systems

Experience with clean and disinfection techniques for cooling towers / water storage tanks / calorifiers / showers

Experience inspecting cooling towers / water tanks / calorifiers

Experience using Zeta mobile or equivalent programme
