Our client provides a complete water hygiene and water treatment service, helping organisations meet the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act, the Health and Safety Executive's Approved Code of Practice (ACoP L8), HSE 274 part 2 and the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations
They are now seeking to recruit a Water Hygiene Technician based in Surrey to cover work in the area As a Water Hygiene Technician the successful candidate will carry out the following duties :
- Primarily be responsible for the service to water hygiene sites in Surrey and Hampshire area Monitoring tasks, sampling and keeping records on customers' properties and sites
- Responsible for cleaning and disinfecting hot and cold water systems, cisterns and cooling towers and associated systems and work to method statements issued
- Temperature monitoring and sampling Showerhead descales
- TMV servicing and installing Closed System Analysis
- Work to agreed timescales for the duties, i.e. surveying and monitoring
- Build rapport with other departments in order to work co-operatively with them
- Be able to receive feedback in a positive manner and give feedback in the same way
- Undertake site surveys (once trained) of clients' properties and produce reports, estimates and quotations to ensure maximum efficiency and legal compliance
- Identify areas for growth of products and services
- Maintain knowledge and Legionnaires' disease through training and continual improvement as identified
Experience required for the Water Hygiene Technicians role ;
- Previous experience of sampling or any associated fields would be advantageous
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of the Approved Code of Practice L 8 for the control of legionella bacteria in water systems
- Full UK driving licence
