We are recruiting on behalf of a leading Water Treatment Company seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join their team in the West Midland

Role Overview

As a Field Water Purification Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, and fault diagnosis of both proprietary and third-party water purification systems. These include:

  • Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems
  • Deionisers
  • Water Softeners
  • Filtration and UV systems
  • Associated chemicals and consumables

Technical Expertise Required

Candidates should have hands-on experience and working knowledge of:

Electrical & Control Systems

  • Control panel commissioning and fault finding
  • PLC and HMI programming
  • Wiring systems across voltages: 24 VAC, 110 VAC, 240 VAC, 415 VAC, 12 VDC, 24 VDC

Water Systems & Components

  • Raw and pure water tanks, pumps, valves, and level control systems
  • Backwashable filters: activated carbon, multimedia beds, organic scavengers, iron/nitrate removal
  • Water softeners: simplex, duplex, triplex, salt saturators, brine systems
  • RO systems: single/twin pass, CIP rigs, pre-filtration
  • Deionisers: mixed bed exchange cylinders, regeneratable systems (single, two-bed, three-bed)
  • UV filtration systems
  • Ring mains: ABS/PVC pipework for ultra/pure water distribution
  • System sterilisation using various chemical agents
  • pH correction and effluent recycling systems

Regulatory & Client-Facing Skills

  • Understanding of water regulations and compliance standards
  • Experience handling chemicals in line with COSHH regulations
  • Comfortable engaging with clients at all levels in a technical capacity

Component Familiarity

  • Valve types: Fleck, Siata, Autotrol, Gemu, Osmonic
  • Pumps: Grundfos, Lowara, Ebara, Prominent, LMI
  • Pipework systems: GF, TP, Durapipe ABS/PVC

General Responsibilities

  • Electrical and mechanical assembly
  • Installation, commissioning, servicing, and fault finding across all listed systems
