Our client is a growing Water Hygiene and Water Treatment company providing specialist compliance services to commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, and public sector clients.

Due to continued expansion, they are looking to recruit a Service Planner to join their operations team. This is a newly created position, offering an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the day-to-day planning and coordination of the company's field engineering team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) works are scheduled efficiently, completed on time, and delivered in line with client compliance requirements.

The Role

Working closely with the Operations team and Service Engineers, your responsibilities will include:

  • Plan and schedule all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) visits using the company's online scheduling system
  • Manage the works tracker to ensure all scheduled jobs are completed within agreed service intervals
  • Coordinate engineers' daily workloads to maximise efficiency and productivity
  • Liaise with Service Engineers to book appointments and allocate work
  • Manage engineer availability, including holidays, sickness, training, and emergency call-outs
  • Ensure no planned compliance visits are missed or overdue
  • Monitor outstanding works and proactively reschedule where necessary
  • Communicate with clients regarding appointments and service visits
  • Work closely with Operations and Management to resolve scheduling issues
  • Produce planning and performance reports as required
  • Maintain accurate records using internal systems
  • Support the continual improvement of planning processes and service delivery

Requirements

  • Previous experience working within a Service Planning, Scheduling, or Resource Planning role
  • Strong IT skills with experience using planning, scheduling, or PPM software
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to liaise with engineers, clients, and management
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel
  • Experience within the Water Hygiene, Facilities Management, Engineering, or Compliance sector would be advantageous but is not essential
