Our client is a successful water treatment company with a strong ethos of fantastic client support and compliancy. They are currently looking to employ an experienced Account Manager to manage an existing client base and explore new business opportunities.

 

Duties.

This important contract/sales manager role is key to ongoing client compliancy and growth for the company and will involve working with an established client list, as well as the expectation to bring new clients into the company.

 

The role will primarily be home based although the job will require travel throughout the United Kingdom, therefore a full valid driving licence will be essential.

 

Suitable candidates will be highly motivated, positive thinking legionella compliance and sales professionals who are exceptional communicators and possess a knowledge of current legislation and best practice in the areas of Legionnaires’ disease, the control of legionella and water hygiene services / treatment services.

 

Key Skills

A minimum of 5 years contract management and sales will be essential for this role. Excellent contract management and water treatment compliance knowledge, as well as sales experience including negotiation and closing skills, self-motivation, a positive attitude and the ability to operate effectively on your own accounts and as part of a team.

 

Job Specification

  • Management of existing accounts and sites with regards to L8 compliance, water treatment services and remedial works
  • Engagement with clients to form excellent outstanding client/supplier relationships
  • Engagement with supply chain partners to form excellent outstanding client/supplier relationships
  • Site surveys and investigations as and when required
  • Quote preparation, processing purchase orders and schedules for ongoing contracts
  • Control of compliance requirements within the candidate’s client base to include reporting, trend analysis and trackers
  • Compilation of detailed reports to clients on all compliance activities to include sampling analysis on domestic, non-domestic and closed systems
  • Accountability for the client base and reporting to senior account managers and directors as required
  • Provide technical knowledge to internal colleagues as required

 

Key Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstratable and proven success within a similar role of accounts in excess of £500k Per annum
  • Sound technical knowledge of cooling and steam systems.
  • Sound technical knowledge of closed systems and interpretation of results, remedial actions
  • Degree or similar qualification desirable (chemistry)
  • Be ideally located within the Southern Midlands
  • Ability to bring previous working knowledge to our business so as to ‘hit the ground running’
