Our client is a long‑established specialist in water treatment, water hygiene, and Legionella control. With a holistic approach to water management, they support organisations in controlling risk, maintaining compliance, and ensuring safe, efficient system performance.
They are now seeking an experienced Water Treatment Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of customers across the South East, with a strong focus on industrial water treatment.
Key Responsibilities
You will take full technical and commercial ownership of a diverse customer portfolio, primarily industrial clients with some domestic (education sector) sites. Responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of water treatment accounts across the SE
- Conducting analytical testing, site visits, account reviews, and providing day‑to‑day client support
- Completing all compliance tasks to ensure customers meet relevant guidance and legislation
- Performing regular onsite water analysis, reporting, and interpretation for cooling, boiler, and closed‑system clients
- Producing accurate, technically robust reports and maintaining clear communication with customers
- Leading annual review meetings and documenting outcomes, actions, and improvement opportunities
- Maximising account value and identifying opportunities for additional services or new business
- Supporting business growth through proactive relationship management and commercial awareness
Experience & Skills Required
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise and proven account management capability within the water treatment sector:
- Extensive knowledge of cooling towers, steam boilers, closed loop systems, pre‑treatment plant, and domestic water systems
- Minimum two years’ experience in a field‑based Account Manager or Contract Manager role in water treatment
- Confident in using field test kits and interpreting results
- Ability to achieve and exceed sales targets through account development and new business generation
