Our client is a well-established Water Treatment and Water Hygiene company that continues to expand its nationwide operations. They are currently seeking an experienced Water Hygiene / Water Treatment Engineer to join their growing service team, working across commercial and industrial sites throughout the UK.
This is a varied role combining both Water Hygiene compliance and Closed System Treatment activities, offering an excellent opportunity to join a supportive business with ongoing training and career development. This role is covering the North of England
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out closed system analytical testing and remedial dosing
- Complete water hygiene monitoring in accordance with ACoP L8 and HSG274 guidance
- Undertake closed system sampling and water analysis
- Carry out cold water storage tank inspections
- Collect water samples for laboratory analysis
- Complete spa balance tank cleaning and disinfection
- Perform hot and cold water temperature monitoring
- Carry out building disinfection and chlorination works
- Undertake calorifier inspections and pasteurisation
- Clean and chlorinate cold water storage tanks
- Service and test Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs)
- Complete showerhead cleaning, descaling and disinfection
- Install and service chlorine dioxide dosing equipment
- Carry out pre-commission cleaning and flushing of new pipework installations
- Produce accurate reports and compliance documentation
- Undertake additional duties appropriate to the role and level of experience
Experience Required
- Minimum of 5 years' experience within the Water Hygiene or Water Treatment industry
- Experience carrying out both Water Hygiene and Closed System Treatment works
- Good understanding of ACoP L8 and HSG274
- Experience working independently across multiple client sites
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to complete reports accurately using electronic reporting systems
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable Experience
- Water softener installation, servicing and fault finding
- Experience working on Clack, Fleck and Autotrol softener systems
- Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant installation and servicing
- Knowledge of dosing equipment and water treatment plant
