Our client is a company with over 75 years experience in the water treatment industry. The company offer a full range of water treatment services cover just about every aspect of water quality, hygiene and safety.

They are now recruiting for a Water Treatment Business Development Manager that can be based anywhere in the UK.

Working from a Home office you will be responsible for developing new business by building and maintaining new and existing client relationships, pro-actively seeking out new clients through tenders and business opportunities for the company, effectively converting sales leads, delivering excellent customer service and maximising business growth opportunities.

The role will require travel throughout the United Kingdom, therefore a full valid driving licence will be essential.

Suitable candidates will be highly motivated, positive thinking sales and business development professionals who are exceptional communicators and possess a knowledge of current legislation and best practice in the areas of Legionnaires’ disease, the control of legionella and water hygiene services.

A minimum of 5 years sales and business development experience will also be essential, as would a proven track record for tendering.

Excellent sales and business development skills including negotiation and closing skills, self-motivation with a positive attitude, ability to operate effectively on own account and as part of a team, intelligent prospecting skills, sales planning, selling to meet customer needs, GAP analysis, market knowledge, knowledge of regulatory environment for the control of legionella, presentation skills, high energy levels, ability to meet sales targets, professionalism.
