Our client is a well-established Water Hygiene and Water Treatment company providing specialist Legionella compliance services to commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, and public sector clients throughout the South of England.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Clean & Disinfection Engineer to join their team, covering Hampshire and the surrounding counties.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to join a growing business specialising in clean and disinfection works, while also carrying out a range of Water Hygiene compliance duties.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of Water Hygiene and Clean & Disinfection services, including:

  • Cleaning and disinfection of Cold Water Storage Tanks (CWSTs)
  • Cooling Tower cleaning and disinfection
  • Tank inspections and condition reporting
  • Chlorination of domestic water systems
  • Calorifier inspections and temperature profiling
  • Thermostatic Mixing Valve (TMV) servicing and testing
  • Chemical dosing and monitoring of water systems
  • Water sampling for Legionella and microbiological analysis
  • Hot and cold water temperature monitoring
  • Producing accurate electronic service reports and compliance documentation
  • Identifying system defects and recommending remedial works
  • Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with current Health & Safety legislation and industry guidance
  • Providing a high standard of customer service while working on client sites

Requirements

  • Previous experience within the Water Hygiene industry
  • Experience carrying out tank cleaning, chlorination, and cooling tower disinfection works
  • Good understanding of ACoP L8, HSG274, Water Regulations, and BS 8580
  • Experience servicing Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs)
  • Knowledge of chemical dosing systems would be advantageous
  • Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual work
  • Ability to use and carry ladders safely
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces, roof voids, and plant rooms
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Location

Based in Hampshire, covering Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire, West Sussex, and the surrounding South Coast region. This is a field-based role with occasional travel as required.
