We are recruiting for a bespoke water treatment and hygiene company that provides services to its customers to minimise the risk of Legionnaires disease within their organisation, in accordance with current health and safety legislation.

 

They service, treat & maintain all aspects of industrial water applications including steam, evaporative cooling, closed loop circuits and wastewater applications.

 

They are now recruiting for a Water Treatment Contract Manager to cover work in the South West (Devon, Cornwall and Somerset). 

 

Job Description

  • Contract Manage specific existing accounts both commercially and technically being the first point of contact to the customer

 

  • Carry out all compliance tasks required to ensure the customers remain within required guidance and legislation. This will include regular onsite water analysis, reporting and interpretation for conventional water treatment clients.

 

  • Manage the accounts technically and commercially. Producing technically correct reports and other relevant forms of communication with the customer.

 

  • Carry out annual review meetings with all customers and produce minutes reflecting the outcome and areas for improvement.

 

  • Increase sales into the customer base by identifying areas for improvement and upgrade possibilities. Produce technically and commercially correct quotations and present professionally to the customer. Use sales techniques to obtain the order and process the order correctly through the company’s systems.

 

  • Generate a Prospect Bank of potential customers and arrange sales meetings using a range of communication techniques including (but not limited to): cold calling, emails, internet browsing and social media.

 

  • During initial sales meetings introduce the Company and assess the Prospect’s water treatment/water hygiene requirements and try to match the Company’s range of services to the Prospect’s requirements. Arrange for a follow up visit (if necessary) to survey the site to enable a quotation to be made to the Prospect to meet his requirements.

 

  • Prepare a quotation to meet the Prospect’s needs and take it in and present the quotation to him in a professional manner so that you can answer any queries they may have, and to give you the chance to start closing the sale.

 

  • Once orders are obtained ensure they are channeled into the relevant Procedures so the work can be carried out.

 

  • Close account management will be required with new customers especially where the Company has taken over from a competitor. Sufficient time and resources need to be allocated to these accounts. Delegation of some work may be necessary.

 

  • Monitor work levels and time manage efficiently. Performance and activity reports will be required by the Senior Management Team.

 

Experience Required:

  • The role of Contracts Manager is required to be flexible, accountable and a team player. They will be expected to carry out any other related duties that are within the employee's skills and abilities, commensurate with the post and whenever reasonably instructed. The company will provide suitable training, equipment and resources to perform these tasks.
  • Minimum of two years working in a field-based account manager / contract manager role within the water treatment sector.
  • Sound knowledge of L8/HSG274 Legionella management legislation along with BS2486 for steam boiler systems. Confidence in use of field-based test kits and interpretation of the results.
  • Ability to achieve, and exceed, sales targets both through existing accounts and new business generation.
  • Confident in communicating with all customer / prospect employees from site engineers through to senior management.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to provide the highest quality of service at all times.
  • IT literacy with Microsoft Office and web portal logging systems.
