Our client is a leading FM Company that is looking to recruit a Water Treatment Engineer / Legionella Risk Assessor in Central Scotland

Duties Include:

  • Execute the self-delivery of all Water Treatment services across Central Scotland
  • Working with the Technical team supported by Schedulers and Contract Administrators to efficiently deliver Water Treatment Planned and remedial works utilising system tools.

Scope or work will include:

  • Temperature Monitoring, Showerhead Descales, Cold Water Storage Tank Inspections and Cleans, Cooling Tower Clean and Disinfections, TMV Servicing, Water Sampling
  • Dosing of Inhibitor and Biocide, LTHW Systems Testing and Analysis
  • Cooling System Testing and Analysis, Water Softener Servicing or Plumbing Remedial Works
  • As a Legionella Risk Assessor you will undertake legionella risk assessments to a high standard in line with the latest version of the Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L8 (Fourth edition) and its associated technical guidance documents of HSG274 and the British standard code of practice for Risk assessing BS8580-1 2019.
  • Drawing of schematic diagrams.
  • Provide technical support where required.
  • Ensure that Legionella Risk Assessments paperwork and reports are completed correctly and returned within agreed KPI timescales.

Other Duties

  • Assist in providing information for quotations including undertaking site surveys
  • Complete work reports either via a day works sheet 
  • First point for customers on site
  • Attend client meetings as and when required

Qualifications or Required Experience:

  • City and Guilds or NVQ qualifications  
  • Up to date knowledge of technical regulations including Water Supply Regulations/Byelaws, L8 ACOP. HSG274 and any other relevant guidance
  • City and Guilds training and extensive knowledge of the Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L8 (Fourth edition), its associated technical guidance documents of HSG274 and British Standard code of practice for risk assessing, BS8580-1 2019
