Our client, an established and growing Water Treatment and Water Hygiene company, is looking to recruit an experienced Water Treatment Engineer to cover commercial and industrial sites throughout London and the surrounding Home Counties.
This is a varied field-based position involving chemical Water Treatment, cleaning and disinfection, chlorination and Water Hygiene works across a diverse portfolio of customer sites.
The Role
- The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a broad range of Water Treatment duties, including:
- Chemical dosing of closed heating and chilled water systems
- Using powered and manual dosing rigs and dosing pots
- Cold Water Storage Tank inspections
- Cold Water Storage Tank and down-service cleaning and chlorination
- Cooling tower cleaning and chlorination
- Mains water chlorinations
- Calorifier inspections
- Collection of samples from domestic water systems
- Preparing and submitting water samples for laboratory analysis
- TMV servicing and maintenance
- Chlorine dioxide analysis
- Monitoring chemical treatment levels and system performance
- Identifying potential Water Treatment and compliance issues
- Maintaining accurate site records and completing electronic service reports
- Liaising professionally with customers and site representatives
- Ensuring all works are completed safely and in accordance with relevant industry guidance and company procedures
- What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years' experience working as a Water Treatment Engineer
- Experience carrying out chemical dosing of closed water systems
- Knowledge of heating and chilled water systems
- Experience with tank cleaning and chlorination
- Cooling tower cleaning and disinfection experience
- Experience carrying out mains chlorinations
- Knowledge of Water Hygiene and Legionella control
- Experience with water sampling and TMV maintenance
- Chlorine dioxide experience would be advantageous
- Good practical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and customer-facing ability
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Full UK Driving Licence
Package
- Basic Salary: £28,500 – £35,000 DOE
